When it comes to a business transaction, we all like to work with people we trust, who have a record of fair dealing. That's why TheTieXchange.com™ lets members leave feedback about their exchanging experiences with others. And we let you decide who you feel comfortable exchanging with, based on their exchanging histories. The user rating system tells you how members have performed in past transactions, based on the feedback left by their past exchanging partners.
When looking at a member’s user rating, you should keep in mind that disagreements can arise between users and that a single piece of negative feedback, or few in an otherwise positive exchanging history, shouldn't necessarily mark the user as a bad bet to exchange with. In addition, we recommend that you also read any comments left about a member by former exchanging partners, which may provide more information.
Because a member’s rating is so important, you are asked to use common sense and good judgment when leaving feedback for another member of the TheTieXchange.com™ community. Specifically, keep in mind that you cannot go back and edit feedback that you have already left, and the feedback you leave will become a permanent part of a member's user rating. You also want to avoid making comments that could be libelous or defamatory. Learn more by reviewing the Feedback Policy.
TheTieXchange.com
™ members exchange under the assurance of a user rating system. The system helps to ensure safe and secure exchanging because users who fail to exchange quality items in a prompt manner will receive poor ratings, effectively ending their exchanging privileges. After you’ve received your new item in the mail, you’ll have a chance to rate your exchange partner. Simply click the “my completed exchanges” link from any page and you’ll see an updated list of all your exchanges, beginning with the most recent. Here you can inform your exchanging partner and all members if the exchange was satisfactory.
If the item never arrived or came in poor condition, you are free to leave negative feedback. However, since TheTieXchange.com™ members want to preserve their positive exchanging records, you’re advised to first contact your exchanging partner by e-mail to try and resolve any disputes before leaving negative feedback. Your exchanging partner should do what’s necessary to satisfy your concerns.
If the exchange in question was problematic but short of a disaster, you might consider leaving neutral feedback.
Users can also leave brief comments about a given exchange and reply to any such comments, all of which become part of an individual’s exchanging history. But remember that ratings and comments cannot be edited or deleted, so whatever you say will become a permanent part of a user’s exchanging history. Obscene or otherwise unacceptable comments will be removed from the system and will jeopardize a user’s further participation on the site. For more information about feedback, including what constitutes unacceptable feedback, please see the TheTieXchange.com™ Feedback Policy.
